Introducing Dr Ellené Rossouw
Ellené’s background
Ellené has 32 years experience as a veterinarian in general and emergency small animal practice. Ellené spent a significant portion of her time working for a large group of practices in Adelaide that also provided emergency care 24/7. Ellené has worked in partnership, management, mentor and training roles and has a passion for standards of care leading to improvements in medicine, surgery and emergency service delivery as well as continuing education.
Ellené’s advanced interests and skills
Ellené’s advanced interests include medicine and diagnostic imaging, in particular ultrasound where she has completed further studies and ongoing clinical experience. She has also completed further education in soft tissue surgery, small animal medicine, emergency medicine and dentistry.
Job enjoyment and personal interests
Ellené loves working with all the kind people at Woofpurnay and the practical set-up of the hospital. She also enjoys spending time with each patient and their dedicated owners.
Outside of work Ellené enjoys going to the gym as it helps her relax. She also enjoys camping with her husband and their dog, and she loves being in nature. Ellené’s dog is a Havanese and her name is Parsley.
