Most popular pet names of 2022

As we move into the New Year it’s a great time to celebrate all the wonderful pet names of the past year. Pet Insurance Australia has revealed the most popular pet names of 2022 based on their data of thousands and thousands of newly insured pets across the country. There are some surprising newcomers on the list!

Luna has proven to be popular, topping the list once again for girl names. Milo and Ollie took top place for boys, with Archie and Charlie sharing top five spots for dogs and cats.

For dogs, Ziggy and Murphy have appeared for the first time. However, the big change was girl’s names for cats which included a number of new and interesting names including Pepper, Maple, Angel, Audrey, Baby, Biscuit, Candy and Charlotte.
